Unity Sweeps Hoopeston Area In Twin Bill

Kyle Cooper's home run in Game 1 gave Unity a huge boost on their way 2-game victory over visiting Hoopeston Area on Saturday. Combined with a great effort from pitcher Bobby Barnard, who struck out 14 batters holding the Cornjerkers scoreless the first six innings, and a Cooper's long ball, Unity squirreled away runs to win game, 9-2.

The Rockets kept their foot on the scoring pedal winning Game 2, 11-1, behind the pitching of Zach Spencer. The junior threw a three-hitter to complete the sweep.
